Bill Ebben, President/CEO - Bill Ebben is a skilled advertising and marketing professional with more than 18 years of experience working in the communications industry. Bill also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Boston College teaching advertising in the Department of Communications.
Prior to Ebben Communications Group, Bill served as station manager of the first FM Talk radio station in Boston, 96.9 FM Talk, WTKK, after five years as the general sales manager at Sports Radio 850 AM, WEEI. At the time, Bill specialized in managing and designing advertising and marketing campaigns for many corporations utilizing the Greater Media group of radio stations, as well as, the Red Sox, Celtics, and Boston College radio networks. In addition, Bill was the general sales manager for WRKO/The Red Sox Radio Network for two years, and an Account Executive for AM 680 WRKO.
Bill graduated from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Mass., in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Bill also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., in 1997.
Karen Pevenstein, Public Relations Director - Karen Pevenstein is an experienced communications professional who uses her media relations expertise and background in broadcast journalism to generate exposure for her clients at Ebben Communications Group. Whether launching a new product or running a major media event, Karen combines her creativity and communications strategy to ensure her clients achieve successful results.
She has effectively directed campaigns resulting in coverage nationally from Larry King Live to regionally and locally with significant features, photo spreads and live shots in major print and broadcast outlets.
Karen’s career began in television news with producing positions at an NBC affiliate in California and WBZ-TV in Boston. Karen is a cum laude graduate of Villanova University with a BA in Communication.
Jamie Giller, Public Relations Specialist - Jamie Giller joins Ebben Communications Group as a Public Relations Specialist. Jamie has extensive knowledge of interactive new media communication tools, including blogs, social networking sites.
In Spring 2008, she completed an internship at New Balance’s Corporate Headquarters in Boston, assisting the Corporate Communications team with brand marketing and product placement in various print and broadcast media. Jamie earned her Bachelor of Science at Boston University’s College of Communication, the oldest public relations program in the country. Jamie has also worked as a staff writer at The Miami Herald and was the 2004 recipient of the Silver Knight Award in Journalism.
Marianna Mahoney, Advertising Manager - Marianna Mahoney is the Advertising Manager at Ebben Communications Group. Marianna works with clients to develop and implement strategic advertising/ marketing campaigns locally, regionally and nationally.
Marianna coordinates with her team and clients to assess the competitive landscape and identify untapped market potential and growth opportunities. She has had extensive background in client services, focused on targeted client support, to provide the best business solutions. In addition, Marianna consults with third party vendors on behalf of her clients to develop creative materials and ensure delivery to the appropriate mediums.
Marianna completed her undergraduate studies at Miami University of Ohio (BA Communications, 2003) before pursuing her Master’s degree at Boston University (MA Advertising, 2004).
Meg Flynn, Advertising Media Assistant - Meg Flynn is the Advertising Media Assistant at Ebben Communications Group. She has been part of the advertising and media department for the past two and a half years and has over 25 years experience in the media industry. Meg has experience interacting with clients and media outlets, coordinating station buys, trafficking creative materials and reconciliation of all client invoices. Prior to joining ECG, Meg worked at Cleveland Communications and Pro Media, Inc.
